Sea Wolf is a Seattle bakery opened in 2014 by brothers Jesse and Kit Schumann, born and raised in Northwest Washington. Following the practices of craftsmanship and local sourcing, Sea Wolf offers bread and pastry prepared by hand that rotates with the seasons. The open-plan design of the bakery allows the community to see the process. in a space that’s comfortable and welcoming to everyone.

Though Sea Wolf is now a tipping business, we offer a higher starting wage than Seattle minimum wage and provide benefits including paid time off, health and dental insurance, and matching retirement contributions. Tips are pooled on a weekly basis and distributed equally across all staff team members. Read more here.

Sea Wolf does not hold bread or pastries aside day-of, but you can skip the bakery line and pick up bread by placing a pre-order!

UPCOMING EVENT

BREAD SALON: FROM FARM TO FLOUR

Growing and milling grain in Eastern and Western Washington

Featuring Keith Kisler, Chimacum Grainery in Chimacum, WA
Seth Small, Smalls Family Farm in Walla Walla, WA

Saturday, May 16 at 6 pm

Join us for a conversation with two of our favorite local grain growers: Keith Kisler of Chimacum Valley Grainery and Seth Small of Small’s Family Farm. They’ll chat about the different grains they grow, how the local climate and soil conditions shape their farming, and how they work to ensure the health of their fields year after year. We’ll hear about how their experiences farming on opposite sides of Washington State are both similar and completely different.

After the panel discussion, we’ll take a break to taste baked goods made with a variety of flours from both of these farms. We hope this tasting will encourage you to think about flour as a fresh ingredient with many different flavor possibilities.  We’ll finish up with audience Q&A and the opportunity to purchase retail-sized bags of the flours you tasted—a fun opportunity since these usually aren’t so easily available in the Seattle area.
